20 Jul PORTER’S CALL ANNOUNCES UPCOMING NEW LEADERSHIP AND A GROWING STAFF
18 July 2023 — Franklin, TN — Porter’s Call, a non-profit uniquely dedicated to providing counsel, support, and encouragement to recording artists, announces new leadership changes. Set to take effect in May 2024, Founder and Executive Director Al Andrews has chosen to step down from his leadership role, promoting Beth Barcus and Chad Karger to take the helm as Co-Executive Directors.
Barcus and Karger have been Porters within the organization for 20 years combined. Additionally, non-profit veteran Phil Shay, who joined Porter’s Call in 2022, has been named Director of Development, while two staffers have recently joined the team – Office and Hospitality Manager Audrey Ragan and Porter Jared Farley. Andrews wholeheartedly supports the non-profit he founded 22 years ago and plans to always be an enthusiastic ambassador for the organization.
“I cannot express how bright the future of Porter’s Call looks to me,” Al Andrews shares. “Handing off the leadership into the capable hands of Beth and Chad was an easy decision. I believe in them and trust them to lead Porter’s Call, with the support of the entire team, for years to come.”
Board President Matt Signore adds, “This is an exciting and wonderful time to extend the mission of Porter’s Call that Al created and Beth and Chad will shepherd into the future. The addition of Phil, Jared, and Audrey will expand their ability to serve the artist community.”
