Tour Plans Are Underway With Cody Carnes, Brandon Lake, And More In 2023

4 November 2022 – Nashville, TN – Welcome to the self-titled debut solo album from Benjamin William Hastings, out today courtesy of Capitol CMG/Invorto. Listen HERE. This artistic 25-track journey offers honest self-expression and dynamic songwriting, threaded with Hastings’ uncanny ability to communicate vulnerable, authentic, personal truths, all ready to resonate with the global audience.

As a world-traveling worship leader and member of Hillsong UNITED, listeners have come to know the name and voice of Benjamin William Hastings. His writing and vocals are featured on Hillsong UNITED’s RIAA® Certified Gold single “So Will I (100 Billion X)” and Hillsong Worship’s widely acclaimed “Seasons,” and he penned Cory Asbury’s No. 1 single “The Father’s House,” UNITED’s “Captain,” the church anthem “O Praise The Name (Anástasis),” and Brandon Lake’s “Gratitude,” among many others. To date, his songs have been streamed globally more than 600 million times.

Hastings recently shared about creating his own project, “A number of years ago now, songs started coming out of me that didn’t feel like they belonged anywhere but they didn’t feel like they should die either. I felt like there were things that needed to be said and I felt like I needed to be the one to say them. They were too personal to me to just put through any other voice and I’m so so grateful for everyone who embarked on this very long journey with me, and I’m so proud of where it landed.” A few of his friends that joined in the making of the album were Joel Houston, Aodhan King, Blessing Offor, David Leonard, Hank Bentley, Jeremy Lutito, and Josh Grimmett.

“It’s 25 songs each showing a different side of myself,” Hastings adds. “There are songs about worship, faith, doubt, imposter syndrome, being a dad/husband, and ultimately a human. I hope it makes you feel a little less alone. We’re gonna lie in the dirt but we’ll stare at the stars. Hold onto your hats!”

A handful of songs have dropped early leading up to today’s release, already achieving more than 14M streams such as “Eden (Isn’t It Just Like You?),” “So Help Me God,” “Anyway,” “The Jesus I Know,” and “Feels Like A Blessing (with JUDAH.),” the latter which is currently airing on Air1. Music and lyric videos are also available for many of these songs – check them out HERE along with the just-released video for “That’s The Thing About Praise (with Blessing Offor).” Filmed in Nashville, the duo enjoyed driving around in a 1974 MG full of flowers, handing them out to people and spreading praise throughout the city. The video can also be viewed below.

Fans will get to hear many of these new songs live when Hastings joins Cody Carnes’ “God Is Good Tour” throughout February, followed by a run with Brandon Lake in March and April. Additional tour plans will soon be announced. Currently, Hastings is out on the Chris Tomlin x UNITED tour – be sure to keep the most up-to-date HERE.
